Bad ExperienceWhere to start? To sum it up:
-Pulled the good old "someone just made an offer the same time you did" and being dumb and naive at the time: we bit
-Never allowed to do a second walk through after the initial. And in that period of time found that windows were broken just by driving by it. Appliances were replaced with junk, pool lines were broken; so we had a nice hole in the ground that we could put the non-functional furnace and central air: both needed replacement after 3 months of living there and all of this passed the Steven Nichols provided inspection. Roof was leaking that we never know; electrical issues after 6 months, 1 day after moving in: had to take my 1 year old at the time to the emergency room because someone right before we moved in took the screws out of the bottom stair and he fell through.
Deck was so shotty that it collapsed as we tried to paint it; none of this was picked up to the naked eye but should have been caught by the inspector and real estate agent who I later found out knew the real estate agent who was listing the house of course. Mrs. Bennett who was the agent advertising the house we bought had her son buy our house and conveniently her husband was a contractor and they didn't upgrade or fix the house they did what they could to cover up issues with the house and did a good job of that. So basically we were dumb and bought a 30k home for 100k and are now bankrupt...this is just a summary: there is much more, it gets much worse! And when we brought issues up before the closing Steve advised us that “it’s ok no biggie I got people and you don’t want to lose a chance at this place over something minor”. Of course after closing: “nothing we can do”….This doesn’t even scratch the surface of this nightmare! This should be illegal you’d think!
